What it's for

What this system reduces

  • Water hardness
  • Chlorine & chloramine
  • Taste & odor
  • Sediment and dissolved iron

We describe the reduction of these substances. Results depend on your incoming water and configuration.

Is the Diamond Combo right for my home?

Choose the combo when you want two jobs done at once — the scale gone and cleaner-tasting, chlorine-reduced water from every tap, which is common on treated Kansas city water. It pairs the 30,000-grain softener with whole-home carbon, so it's one system and one install. If hardness is your only issue, the standalone softener is enough; if you're on a well with nitrate, add the CrystalCore RO for drinking water.

Best for

Homes that want the scale gone and cleaner-tasting, chlorine-reduced water from every tap.

Good to know

Diamond Combo questions

What does the combo add over a softener?

The softener reduces hardness and dissolved iron; the combo adds carbon that also reduces chlorine, chloramine, taste and odor at every tap. If you want both, it's one system.

Is it worth it on Wichita city water?

If both the scale and the chlorine taste bother you, yes — the combo covers both. If only one does, a single-purpose unit may be all you need. The free test settles it.

Does the combo handle nitrate?

No — neither softening nor carbon reduces nitrate. For nitrate you add an Aquonyx CrystalCore reverse-osmosis system at the drinking tap. We'll flag it if your well test shows nitrate.
